Glenna Griffin

Glenna Marie (Bray) Griffin, age 93 of Batesville formerly of Sidney died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born October 3, 1918 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Samuel N. and Hannah E. Marlin Bray. She was a retired schoolteacher and a pastor's wife. She enjoyed sewing, reading, NBA Basketball and the Arkansas Razorbacks. She was a member of the Sidney Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Shaw Griffin, a son Marlin Shaw Griffin and a brother Lowell Bray.Survivors include one son Micah Griffin and his wife Cindi of Mount Pleasant; one daughter Maria Deskin and her husband Ed of Batesville, five grandchildren, Tanya Camden of Austin, Texas, Nicole Baker of Cushman, Joshua Griffin of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Sam Deskin and Jake Deskin both of Batesville, 5 great grandchildren, Whitney Camden, Sydney Camden and Kaitlyn Camden all of Austin, Texas, Elizabeth Bordeaux of Hillsdale, New York, Landon Baker of Cushman, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sidney Baptist Church located at Sidney. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery located at Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel.Pallbearers will be Curtis Matheny, Richard Matheny, Jimmy Bray, Jack Moore, Jackie Moore and Margie Powel.Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Wood-Lawn Nursing Home.
