Mark Whitaker

Mark Warren Whitaker, age 38 of Franklin( formerly of Cave City), died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Thorndale, Texas. He was born October 11, 1973 at Fort Smith, Arkansas to Seth and Mary Smith Whitaker. He was a truck driver and mechanic for Howard Trucking in Franklin, a member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department and of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by, his paternal grandparents Eugene and Dorothy Whitaker, his maternal grandparents Buster and Edith Smith, and one sister Tina Whitaker.Survivors include his parents Seth and Mary Whitaker of Cave City, one brother Paul Whitaker of Poughkeepsie, one sister Michele Clemons of Higden, two nephews Brad Clemons and Billy Clemons both of Higden and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ in Cave City with Dean Fugett officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers will be Glen Dale Tanner, Shawn Draper, Joe Binnion, Randy Vaile, Howard Reynolds and Robert Vaile.Honorary pallbearers are Terry Coffman, Billy Ray Clemons and Brad Allen Clemons.No visitation is planned.
