Mildred Louise 'Sours' Kerr, age79 of Batesville died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born January 6, 1932 at Jacksonville, Illinois to Ira and Jessie Marie Bunch Sours. She was a homemaker, a farmer and enjoyed fishing, dancing and bingo. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Wayne Kerr Sr., two brothers, Verlin Sours and Gene Sours, one sister Mary Arnett and an infant sister Marcella Sours, and a great granddaughter MacKinley Lindsey.Survivors include three sons, William Wayne Kerr Jr., of Clarksville, TN, James W. Kerr of Cave City and Jerry L. Kerr of Pine Bluff, four daughters, Tammy Brown of Sidney, Linda Harris of Strawberry, Polly Vaughn of Batesville and Sharon Medlock of Cave City, three brothers, Ira 'Junior' Sours of Arnold, Missouri, Clarence Sours of Illinois and Billy Sours of Cuba, Illinois, five sisters, Bessie Carlton of California, Leona Deros of Utah, Betty Smith and Dorothy Farrar both of Illinois and Thelma Champlain of Wisconsin., twenty-one grandchildren and many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Batesville with President Jade Anderson. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Jacob Kerr, Jason Elliott, James W. Kerr Jr., Matthew Brown, Nathan Brown and Lane Medlock.Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Brown, Jerry Medlock, Leon Vaughn and Dean Harris.
