Carl A. Amos, age 99 of Southside died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at a Batesville hospital. He was born March 9, 1912 at Seymour, Indiana to William and May Jarvis Amos. He was a minister and member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Batesville. He enjoyed flying airplanes and playing golf.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and four sisters and a grandson, Rusty Amos.Survivors include three sons, Russell Amos of Batesville, Ronald Amos of Booneville, Indiana and Earl Amos of Houston, Texas, one daughter Patricia Cagle of Woodville, Texas, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren five great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Batesville with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Russell Amos, Earl Amos, Carl Ray Amos, Justin Amos, David Cartwright and Bobby Warden.
