Billy Dan Gallagher age 66 of Batesville died Sunday January 15, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born January 24, 1945 at Black Rock, Arkansas to John William and Mary Elizabeth Long Gallagher. He was retired from ConAgra Foods in Batesville after 43 years of service and was a member of the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church near Bethesda.He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Linda Gallagher; one brother, Michael Gallagher and two grandsons, Timothy Gallagher and Brian Gallagher.Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Gallagher of the home; three sons, Keith Gallagher and Chris Gallagher both of Bethesda and Brian Scott Gallagher of Batesville; one brother, John Gallagher of Southside; four sisters, Barbara Rutledge of Batesville, Wanda Strother of Charlotte, Jimmie Gill of Phoenix, AZ and Dee Wilkerson of Southside; four grandchildren, Kaylee Gallagher and Landry Gallagher both of Batesville, Jamie Gallagher of Violet Hill and Michael Gallagher of Mammoth Spring; one great grandson, Kiptan Gallagher of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday January 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Desha First Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Sims and Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery located near Bethesda with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Wednesday January 18, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Wayne Smart, Brent Howard, Matt McGee, Adam Garcia, Steve Felts and Lavon Womack.Honorary pallbearers are Brett Farris, Harold Hamley, Bob Balentine, Tom Qualls and Members of the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.
