Elizabeth Pickard

Elizabeth 'Betty' Pickard, age 83 of Strawberry died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at her home. She was born May 21, 1928 at Galena, Illinois to Fred and Edith Gray Rury. She was co-owner/operator of many restaurants throughout the years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing and cooking.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Rury.Survivors include her husband of 58 years, William Pickard of the home, one son, Steven Pickard of Strawberry, three daughters, Jean Ann and husband Bill Murphy of Colorado, Laura Rohr of Strawberry and Diane Schnick of Strawberry, one sister Jean Hahn of Capron, Illinois, eleven grandchildren, Teresa Robinson of Washington, Shaun Murphy and Melissa Murphy both of Colorado, Karista Love and Paul Short both of Strawberry, Jeffery Derrickson of Cave City, Joshua Derrickson of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Kelly McNaughton of Jonesboro, Kelsi McNaughton of Dallas, Staci McNaughton and Carol 'C. J.' Schnick both of Strawberry, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel at Cave City. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel.
