Wesley Stewart, age 77 of McHue died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Little Rock hospital. He was born March 8, 1934 at McHue, Arkansas to Hugh Allen and Glennie Victoria Jones Stewart. He retired from Batesville school district after serving 36 years in education. He served as a teacher, coach and assistant principal while at the Batesville, Newark, Floral, Oil Trough and Southside School Districts. He raised cattle on his family's farm. He enjoyed his family, hunting, NASCAR and was an avid sports fan. He was a trustee and charter member of the Southside United Methodist Church. He was a Kyler Cemetery board member and was instrumental in setting up the cemetery web site,He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, J. F. Stewart and Hugh Allen Stewart Jr.Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joann Crabtree Stewart of the home, one son Tim Stewart and wife Ruth of McHue; and two daughters Cindy Fulcher and husband John of McHue and Tracy Lange and husband Kel of Moorefield, four grandchildren, Eric Fulcher and wife Heather of McHue and Alan Fulcher of McHue, Hope Lange and Wes Lange both of Moorefield, two step grandchildren, Jennifer Logan of Southside and Marcus Logan of Locust Grove, one great granddaughter, Maddalyn Fulcher of McHue, four step great grandchildren, Allie Clark of McHue, Derrick Clark and Avery Collins both of Southside and Kennadee Logan of Locust Grove, one aunt, Sylvia Pegg of Batesville, four nieces and one nephew and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Southside United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Pierce and Rev. Buddy Hamner officiating. Burial will follow in the Kyler Cemetery located at Southside with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 12:00 noon until service time at the Church.Pallbearers will be James Inman, Tom Inman, Todd Engles, Danny Hawkins, Joel Massey and Larry Apple.Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren and Con Crabtree, Sam Beasley, Jack Lee and the Triangle Cafe Round Table Gang.Memorials may be made to the Southside United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 39 Magnolia, Batesville, Arkansas 72501.
