Tommy Norris, age 65 of Poughkeepsie died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at a Little Rock hospital. He was born August 8, 1946 at Williford, Arkansas to Charlie Alexander and Gertrude Mosley Norris. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for the Sharp County Road Department and a member of the Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church at PoughkeepsieHe was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Michael Wayne Norris and Nathan Earnest Norris, four half brothers, Fillmore Norris, Herbert Norris, Hubert Norris and Homer Norris, two half sisters, Lelia Nix and Margie Dotson.Survivors include his wife Brenda Norris of the home, one son Jason Norris of Poughkeepsie, one brother, Charlie A Norris of Jefferson City, Missouri, three grandchildren C-Aira Norris, Mason Norris and Tommy Norris all of Poughkeepsie, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Cate and Bro. Sammy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Larry Brown, Billy Con Brown, Dan Melbourne, Gene Moore, Travis Price and Rick Huckabee.Honorary pallbearers will be the Sharp County Road Department.
