Sue Sandy

Sue Sandy, age 90 of Cave City died Monday, February 13, 2012 at a Cave City nursing home. She was born March 18, 1921 at Steele, Missouri to Ferlon and Winnie Bradford Lindsey. She had worked for J. K. Southerland and GenCorp Automotive both in Batesville, she enjoyed her family, gardening and flowers. She was a lifetime member of the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. W. Sandy, one brother, Zelmer Lindsey and an infant granddaughter, Diane Sandy.Survivors include two sons, Jerry Sandy and wife Jackie of Batesville, Johnny Sandy and wife Peggy of Scott, one daughter, Janie Pratt of St. Louis, Missouri, one sister Nell Young of Steele, Missouri, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville with Ralph Wallis officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderbrook Cemetery located at Desha with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Church.Pallbearers will be Ray Sandy, Steve Sandy, Michael Sandy, Shawn PrattHonorary pallbearers are Ronnie and Sandra Dowdy.
