Willa 'Jean' Dunehew, age 78, of Cape Fair, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012, in her home. She was born August 7, 1933, in Dowdy, Arkansas, the daughter of Ethel (Inmon) McDoniel. On May 7, 1954, in Batesville, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Robert Nash 'Bob' Dunehew, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Rodney 'Rod' Dunehew and his wife, Alanna of Morton, Illinois; one daughter, Peggy Yung and her husband, Ray of Edelstein, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Jason Dunehew, Bobby Dunehew, J.D. Dunehew, Heather Chin, Lindsey Gooch, Betsy Dunehew and Alex Myers and four great grandchildren, Cara Dunehew, Samuel Dunehew, Michael Dunehew and Caleb Dunehew.Preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Rickey Dunehew.Jean, as most people knew her, grew up and received her education in Arkansas, graduating from Cord-Charlotte High School in Charlotte, Arkansas. For several years Jean and her family were residents of Illinois. Sixteen years ago she and Bob moved from Washington, Illinois to Cape Fair, Missouri to make their home. She was a homemaker and also owned and operated a ceramic shop. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, crocheting, quilting, fishing, boating and collecting tea pots.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the Philadelphia Baptist Church located at Cord with burial following in the Philadelphia Cemetery located at Cord. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service following. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church in memory of Jean.
