Vernon Engelbrecht

Vernon Engelbrecht, age 89 of Batesville formerly of Cherokee Village, Arkansas died Friday, February 24, 2012 at a Jonesboro hospital. He was born March 24, 1922 at New Boston, Indiana to Ernest V. and Ida Mae Bauer Engelbrecht. He was a retired carpenter, enjoyed sports, gardening and flea markets.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Addie Doris Ludwig Engelbrecht of the home, two sons, Roger V. Engelbrecht and Leslie Engelbrecht both of Indianapolis, Indiana and one daughter, Sandra Wildin of Ash Flat, four grandchildren, Steven Engelbrecht of Indianapolis, Andy Engelbrecht of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Engelbrecht of Indianapolis and Greg Wildin of Glencoe, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.No visitation is planned.
