Nancy Beard Millsaps

Nancy Beard Millsaps, age 69 of Pleasant Plains died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at a Searcy hospital. She was born August 25, 1942 at Malvern, Arkansas to Oscar F. and Francise L. Galloway Beard. She worked as a data processor for 10 years, was a homemaker, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Pleasant Plains and a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending flowers and shrubs in her yard.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother James Beard.Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Willie E. Millsaps of the home, two daughters, Carla Ward of Floral and Connie Johnston of Palmer, Alaska, two brothers, Eugene Beard of Malvern and Donald Beard of Jackson, Mississippi, two sisters, Lenora Bell and Francise Abbott both of Malvern, five grandchildren; Kecia Bonds of Prim, Branson Ward of Floral, Willie Ward of Batesville, Avu Johnston and Caleb Johnston both of Palmer, Alaska, five great grandchildren, Bentley Pearrow, Keiley Bonds and Addiley Bonds and Kensley Bonds all of Prim, and Willie-Ray Ward of Batesville, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, March17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church with Chris Blakeley officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Fair Play Cemetery located at Malvern. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.A visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Branson Ward, Willie Ward, Richard Beard, Chad Bonds, Jeff Ward and Kyler Hill.
