Lula Mae Dixon Vance, age 70 of Cave City died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her home. She was born March 16, 1942 at Elaine, Arkansas to Sam and Zella Wee Dixon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a member of the New Testament House of Prayer in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rickey Allen Vance, a brother, Crafton 'Buster' Dixon and a sister, Dorothy Taylor.Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Curtis Vance Sr. of the home, eight sons, Willie James Webb, Victor M. Chatman, Curtis Scales and wife Rose and, Robert McGee all of Batesville, Darnell McClinton and wife Tonya, Tony D. Vance, Freddie P. Vance and wife Bonnie and Rodney S. Vance all of Cave City and two daughters, Leashia McGee-Randle and husband Lee and Maria A. Vance of all of Loganville, Georgia, seven brothers, Sam Dixon Jr. of Chicago, Morris L. Dixon of Helena, Edward E. Dixon of Batesville, Jim Dixon of Evening Shade, Troy Dixon of Batesville, Clyde Dixon of Hot Springs and David Dixon, U.S. Army stationed in Korea, ,five sisters, Sarah Ford, Annie Bea Gage and Brenda Dixon all of Batesville, Willie Mae Walker of Helena and Cynthia Frierson of Hot Springs, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Believers Community Church in Batesville with Pastor Roy Ford Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Monday, March 26, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City.Pallbearers are Willie James Webb, Victor M. Chatman, Curtis Scales, Robert McGee, Darnell McClinton, Tony Vance, Freddie Vance, Rodney Vance.Honorary pallbearers are Roy Ford Jr., Lee Randle and Troy Dixon.
