Robert Gould

Robert J. Gould Sr. age 78 of Newark died Saturday April 7, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born January 21, 1934 at Huff, Arkansas to William Lee and Lorena Helen Gould. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked many years in the Automotive Air Conditioning Industry and was the former owner of Gould Auto Parts in Wills Point, Texas. He was of the Missionary Baptist faith and served in various positions within the church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Helen Jean Moore and one great grandchild.Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Janice Gould of the home; three sons, Robert Gould Jr. and Rodney Gould both of Texas and Michael Lee Gould of Peoria, Arizona; three brothers, Arthur Gould of Tacoma, Washington, Ervin Gould of Avinger, Texas and Calvin Gould of Jacksonville, Texas; one sister, Margaret Freeman of Center, Texas; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.No visitation or funeral services are planned. The family requests no flowers or food, but those who desire may help a disabled veteran. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville
