Verbelene Welch Blumberg

Verbelene Welch Blumberg, age 76 of Cave City, formerly of Batesville died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at a Batesville hospital. She was born June 28, 1935 at Sandtown, Arkansas to Judson or Izena Gifford Welch. She was a homemaker, enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Blumberg and an infant brother, Robert Carlton Welch.Survivors include a son Billy Platt of Batesville, a daughter, Debra Davis of Cave City, four grandchildren, Leann Fleetwood of Cave City, Chad Gengo of Southside, Pamela Baxter of Locust Grove and Kurt Platt of Batesville, three great grandchildren, Tyler Foust of Cave City, Greyson Gengo of Southside and Blake Baxter of Locust Grove and a host of other relatives and friends.A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City. No funeral services are planned. A private internment will be held at the Lee's Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
