Melba Doris Royal, age 78 of Evening Shade died Monday, April 9, 2012 at a Little Rock hospital. She was born January 23, 1934 at Sayre, Oklahoma to Victor and Minnie Emmons Nason. She was a retired USDA inspector and enjoyed doing crafts and gardening. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Evening Shade.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Curtis Royal and one sister, Edna Earl Hagood. Survivors include five daughters, Amelia Ann Horn and husband Dennie of Sidney, Delphia Sue Royal of the home, Deborah Jean Turney of Batesville, Mary Lou Perkey of Cave City and Janice Kay Stephens of Pleasant Plains, one brother, Virgil Nason and wife Deanna of Ensign, Kansas, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with David Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery located at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Dennie Horn, Sam Horn, Travis Perkey, Scott Perkey, Joel Koch and Ben Hays.
