Michael Craig Pickering

Michael Craig Pickering, age 62 of Cave City died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Newark. He was born February 5, 1950 at Dallas, Texas to Oren Craig or Aleta Fern LaRue Pickering. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam, delivered sawmills for Timberking in Kansas City, Missouri and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include two sons, Michael David Pickering of Poughkeepsie and Craig Pickering of Cave City, two daughters, Cherie Wiese of Newark, Denise Smithee of Sidney, a brother, Rick Pickering of Castalian Springs, Tennessee and two sisters, Patti Stewart of Poughkeepsie and Jeanni Brosius of Little Rock, eleven grandchildren, Layne Davis of Sidney, Noah Wiese and Chloe Wiese both of Newark, JohnMichael Pickering, Sarabeth Pickering, Gabriel Pickering, Abigail Pickering and Samuel Pickering all of Poughkeepsie, Gavin Pickeing, and Makayla Pickering both of Cave City and Joshua Smithee of Sidney, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No visitation is planned.
