Clara Faye ODell, age 83 of Pleasant Plains died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at a Batesville hospital. She was born August 6, 1928 at Imboden, Arkansas to J. W. and Nora Thompson Smith. She was retired from South Central Bell in Memphis, Tennessee and enjoyed sewing and bowling. She loved her family and had many friends. She was a member of the Independence Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ralph Murrell Smith Sr. and a sister, Jimmie Clestine Rickett.Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Fred O'Dell of the home, two sons, Joe O'Dell and John O'Dell both of Pleasant Plains, a daughter, Julie Wilbur of Knoxville, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Nicholas David Wilbur of Knoxville, Emily Claire Wilbur of Denver, Colorado, Makenna Machae O'Dell and Kiernan Mae O'Dell, a step granddaughter, Megan Lynn Tate and a step great grandson, Dristan Smith, a nephew, Ralph Murrell Smith Jr. all of Pleasant Plains and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Brad Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Putman Cemtery located at Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Service.Visitation will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dan Wilburn, Shane Martin, Ralph Smith, Michael Hampton, Alex Britt adn Dolph.Honorary pallbearers are Nick Wilbur, Ann Barnhouse, Heather Garcia and Margie MaHurg.
