Austin A. Rowlett age 82 of Cave City died Wednesday April 18, 2012 at his home. He was born November 3, 1929 at Swifton, Arkansas to August and Leona Tucker Rowlett. He retired from Gen-Corp Automotive in Batesville and had worked for General Motors Truck and Coach in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the Curia Creek Masonic Lodge in Cave City and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City.He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce Anthony Rowlett; two brothers, Neal Rowlett and Donald Rowlett and one sister, Carmelita Rowlett.Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Josie Ann Rowlett of the home; one son, David Rowlett of Cave City; two brothers, Rayburn Rowlett of Washington and Homer Rowlett of Kentucky; four grandchildren, Andre Rowlett and Erin Witty both of Fort Collins, Colorado, Dion Rowlett and fianc?? Katie Freeman of Jonesboro and Brandi Parker of Lynn; six great grandchildren, Emma Witty, Carter Witty, Josh Witty, Benjamin Witty, Hanna Parker and Haley Parker; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Saturday April 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Jeff Holland and Bro. Bill Sagely officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Friday April 20, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City.Pallbearers will be Kirk Wagoner, Kenneth Wagoner, Jeff Morris, Richard Parker, Ronald Weaver, Bobby Rowlett, Jimmy Rowlett and Terry Bradley.Honorary pallbearers are Members of the Curia Creek Masonic Lodge.
