John C. Rogers

John C. 'J.C.' Rogers age 82 of Cave City died Saturday April 28, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born October 24, 1929 at Cave City, Arkansas to Shelby and Edna Rogers. He was retired and of the Methodist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Peggy Rogers; two sons, Phillip Rogers and Travis Rogers and one sister, Monnie Metcalf.Survivors include his wife Joyce Rogers of the home; three sons, Roy Rogers and Curtis Rogers both of Cave City and Jimmy Bogard of Desha; four daughters, Regina Gann of Cave City, Melody Heil of Nebraska, Milisha Cook of Mississippi and Madeline Oliveria of California; one sister, Wanda Jean Milli of Indiana; twenty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. J.C. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday April 30, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be John Bowers, Don Ring, Randy Ratliff, Steve Criswell, Henry Criswell and Dean Stroud.Honorary pallbearers are Glen Criswell, Carl Stroud, Mike Stroud, Dillion Dobbs and Chris Cook.
