Anna Bell Burge, age 79 of Cave City died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at a Cave City nursing home. She was born June 2, 1932 in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas to Clate and Bessie Shephard Phillips. She retired from Gen Corp Automotive in Batesville after 25 years of service. She is a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and listening to gospel music. She is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Neal Burge, a daughter, Freida “Joann” Burge, her parents, three brothers, Buck Phillips, Toby Phillips and Doug Phillips and two sisters, Addie Inman and Bertie Neal. Survivors include her son William Neal Burge of Cave City and two sisters Edna Parks of Wolf Bayou and Liz Hagan of Searcy and many nephews and nieces, family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City.
