Harold Leroy Stuntz, age 67 of Cave City died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at a Little Rock hospital. He was born October 15, 1944 at Plymouth, Indiana to Sharon Henry and Thelma Beatrice Matchette Stuntz. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War where he received a Vietnam Service Medal W/1 Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and an Army Commendation Medal. He retired from White Rodgers Co. in Batesville after 29 years of service and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an active member in the Eutopia Baptist Church located near Cave City. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Veda May Schmidt Boles, a brother Henry Stuntz and three sisters, Edith Stuntz, Marie Kreighbaum and Marlene Burrus. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sandra Stuntz of the home, two sons, Jason Stuntz of Cave City and Norman “Junior” Schmidt of Black Rock, two daughters, Pauline Curtis of Evening Shade and Deanna Tillery of Batesville, four grandchildren, Amy Schmidt and Joshua Blevins both of Evening Shade and Aleah Tillery and Samuel Tillery both of Batesville, one great granddaughter, Lily Schmidt of Evening Shade, two brothers, David Stuntz of Cave City and Paul Stuntz of Ash Flat, three sisters, Velma Trump of Plymouth, Indiana and Esther Cooper of Chicago, Illinois and Anna Arnold of Ash Flat, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eutopia Baptist Church located west of Cave City with Bro. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery located north of Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Tony Stuntz, Robert Arnold, Wendell Perkey, John Bridges, Eric Britton and Tom Bullington.
