Montez Rogers

Montez Rogers age 71 of Ash Flat died Tuesday August 14, 2012 at a Ash Flat nursing home. She was born June 2, 1941 at Ash Flat, Arkansas to Alfred and Mattie Mae Layne Rogers. She had worked as a cook at the Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and the Highland School. She was a member of Corinth Methodist Church at Ash Flat. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Chad Oliver and a great niece, Camillia Oliver. Survivors include her parents, Alfred and Mattie Mae Rogers; one brother, Gary Rogers and his wife Ruth; one sister, Dolly Nicholson and her husband Rex all of Ash Flat; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Friday August 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ash Flat Church of Christ with Tommy Boles, Jack Richardson and Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiles Cemetery located at Ash Flat with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday August 16, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Ash Flat Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Dustin Rogers, Lance Humphries, Roger Nicholson, Randy Nicholson, Regan Nicholson, Jonathan Boyer, Greg Foreman and Brad Gitz. Honorary pallbearers are Members of the Ash Flat Class of 1959.
