Donald Alexander Weaver age 73 of Guion died Wednesday September 5, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born August 10, 1939 at Whittier, California to Bill and Bonnie Arnold Weaver. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served as a Seabee, a mechanic and a member of the Church of Christ at Guion. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Betty Jane Weaver. Survivors include two daughters, Karyn Qualls of Evening Shade and Karla Blackford of Jonesboro; three sisters, Marion Sewall of Southhaven, Mississippi, Vivian Waters of Marshall and Cindy Nelson of Batesville; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will begin Saturday September 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Galatia Cemetery located at Old Joe with Larry Sellers officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Lamb, Charles Williams, Jack Arnold, Tonya Craig, Fred Lamb and Ronnie Adkisson.
