Evelyn Lance

Evelyn Lance age 71 of Saffell died Monday October 22, 2012 at her home. She was born July 8, 1941 at Dowdy, Arkansas to Avery and Lena Sanders Kennedy. She was retired from White-Rodgers in Batesville after 35 years of service and was a member of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church at Dowdy. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Pete Kennedy and Joe Kennedy and one sister, Berniece Richey. Survivors include her husband, Harold Lance of the home; one son, Kerry Lance Sr. of Saffell; two brothers, Delbert Kennedy of Cord and George Kennedy of Saffell; one sister, Verna Faye Latting of Saffell; one grandson, Kerry “Lynn” Lance Jr. of Saffell; one granddaughter, Senthia Lance of Saffell; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Friday October 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Remmell Layton officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery located at Saffell with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned.
