Frieda E. Melcher

Frieda E. Melcher age 86 of New Albany, Indiana died Friday November 2, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born January 26, 1926 at New Albany, Indiana to Corwin B. Keach and Irene Gurtz Porter. She was a homemaker and a member of the Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Melcher; one daughter, Carolyn L. Baker and one brother, Floyd J. Keach. Survivors include four sons, William C. Melcher and David E. Melcher both of New Albany, Indiana, Carl D. Melcher of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Robin Melcher and wife Agnes of Batesville; one daughter, Donna T. Himmelrick of New Albany, Indiana; one sister, Junita Gilpin of Winchester, Virginia; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be in New Albany, Indiana.
