Cleave B. Weiss age 80 of Batesville died Tuesday November 6, 2012 at a Little Rock hospital. He was born June 17, 1932 at Ravenden, Arkansas to Florence Jones Weiss. He was retired from Westvaco Paper in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict, a member of the American Legion Post 336 in Hardy, a member of the VFW and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was a member of the Salado Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffery Weiss and one grandson, Jeremy Pomranky. Survivors include his wife Rose Weiss of the home; three daughters, Sheila Hogan of Farmington, Missouri, Sherry Allen of Chesterfield, Missouri and Lawanda Finch of St. Louis, Missouri; one stepson, Curt Pomranky of Batesville; one stepdaughter, Bonnie M. Young of Batesville; three sisters, June Pinkston of Pocahontas, Lela Kremers of Mountainburg and Shelia Organ of Hector; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Friday November 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Aaron Maxwell and Bro. Barrett Beyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery located at Salado with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will begin Thursday November 8, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be George Ball, Brandon Allen, Brandon Pomranky, Jonathan Young, Eugene Freeman and Lee Butler. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Allen, Jeremy Hogan, Kameron Riddle, Adam Weiss and the American Legion Family.
