Roy Moody age 94 of Evening Shade died Wednesday November 7, 2012 at his home. He was born February 16, 1918 at Tuckerman, Arkansas . He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He had also worked for Northwestern Railroad. He was a member of the VFW Post 8042 at Evening Shade. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Anne Moody and Ruth Moody; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife Janet Moody of the home; four stepsons, Jerry Lee Brown of California, Scott Knappenberger and Cliff Knappenberger both of Evening Shade and John Knappenberger of Hot Springs; two stepdaughters, Leann Crosby of Sidney and Cheryl Ann Holland; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service and potluck dinner will be held Saturday November 10, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the VFW Post #8042 in Evening Shade. All friends and family are invited to attend. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned. In Lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
