Charles D. Smith

Charles D. Smith age 58 of Poughkeepsie died Friday November 16, 2012 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 3, 1954 at Batesville, Arkansas to Raymond L. and Naomi Medlock Smith. He was retired from the Sharp County Road Department and was a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Zimmermann of Evening Shade; three grandchildren, Bryce McGuire, Brittany McGuire and Lillian Zimmermann all of Evening Shade; an aunt, Addie Runsick of Poughkeepsie; an uncle, Tommy Medlock of Newburn, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Tuesday November 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ with Troy Henley officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Monday November 19, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Roy Gene Felts, Kenny Love, Dan Melbourne, Gene Moore, Arnell Russell and Larry Brown. Honorary pallbearers are members of Sharp County Road Department.
