Mary Curtis Mize age 95 formerly of Smithville/ Jesup, Arkansas died Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Heavenly Care Residential Home in Pleasant Hill, California. She was born November 11, 1917 at Emery, Arkansas to Calvin Curtis and Gracie Binkley Curtis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland I. Mize; three brothers, Marion Curtis, Elvin Curtis and Ell Curtis and one sister, Floy Curtis Short. Survivors include one son, Mike Mize of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; one daughter, Elaine Little of Concord, California; four grandchildren, Laura Mize of Napa, California, John Mize of Tucson, Arizona, Kerry Little of Concord, California and Amanda McDaniel of Highland Village, Texas; nine great grandchildren, Krystal Mize, Austin Mize, Luke McDaniel, Shannon McDaniel, Beatrice Bolar, Stephanie Mize, Tiphanie Mize, Tawnie Mize and Tamara Mize; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Wednesday December 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Reggie Walling officiating. Burial will follow in the Parsley Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Tuesday December 18, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mike Mize, Ashith Bolar, Alan Richey, Shelby Richey, Robby Mize and John Little. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6465 South Yale Avenue, Suite 312, Tulsa, OK 74136-7804
