Michael Lynn “Wolfie” Kunkel age 46 of Evening Shade died Thursday January 3, 2013 at his home. He was born December 4, 1966 at Creve Coeur, Missouri to Arnold and Lena Fay Boyd Kunkel. He was married to Patricia Joy Kunkel on April 1, 1996 and they were married for 15 years. He was a graduate of Evening Shade High School and continued on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. He worked 15 years as a Registered Nurse and also enjoyed auto mechanics. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Joy Kunkel of the home; his father and step-mother Arnold and Reba Kunkel of Evening Shade; a step-daughter, Paula Frederick of Ash Flat; two brothers, Donald Kunkel of Danville and Kenny Kunkel of Greenbrier; a step-brother, Gary Don Harness of Shirley; a step-sister, Tammy Farrell of Shirley; one step grandson, Jordan Powell of Ash Flat; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will begin Thursday January 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evening Shade Cemetery located at Evening Shade with Dwight Sharp officiating Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday January 9, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Don Harness, Tim Conway, Ted Frederick, Johnny Kunkel, Barry Perkey and Larry McFarlin.
