Nathaniel "Nate" Rattler

Nathaniel “Nate” Rattler age 73 of Batesville died Sunday January 6, 2013 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 30, 1939 at Sidney, Arkansas to Eldora Alma Smith. He was a retired commercial truck driver and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Thelma Jones. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Crawford Rattler of the home; one stepson, Frederick Charles Crawford of Batesville; six step-daughters, Ruby Crawford of Conway; Rose Mary Carter, Vanessa Jean Cothrine and Faith Chatman Crawford all of Batesville; Latrice Wright and Felicia Wright both of Harvey, Illinois; three sisters, Willie Mae Sanchez, Velma Branch and Louise Stoner all of South Bend, Indiana; 16 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Saturday January 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Rev. Otis Harper officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will begin Friday January 11, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
