Tommie Ford Horn Smith age 103 of Cave City died Thursday January 10, 2013 at Batesville. She was born January 22, 1909 at Cave City, Arkansas. She was the last surviving child of John Edward and Margaret Paralee Ford. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Clarence Smith and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, John B. Horn and wife Barbara of Roanoke, Virginia; two daughters, Mary W. Moore and husband Farrell of Perryville and Doris M. Reves of Batesville; three step-daughters, Ola Burge and husband Steele of Neosha, Missouri, Janie Deere and husband Bill of Memphis, Tennessee and Anna Massey of Batesville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and close friends that she loved dearly. Funeral services will begin Monday January 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Monday January 14, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Farrell Moore, Eddie Reves, Kenny Patterson, Mark Patterson, Matthew Patterson and Gerald Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Hughes, James Landers, Ronnie Burge and Dr. Dennis Davidson.
