Cleva Campbell Lesley Carter age 84 of Sandtown died Wednesday January 30, 2013 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born August 26 1928 at Sandtown, Arkansas to Earnest and Belva Hastings Campbell. She was a former factory worker and a homemaker. She was a member of the Pool’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Sandtown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Dale Lesley; one son, Johnny Dale Lesley; two step-sons, Billy George Carter and Johnny Wayne Carter and three sisters, Freda Thomas, Wanda Roach and Nina Carter. Survivors include her husband, Billy Carter of the home; one son, David Earnest Lesley of Denton, Texas; four brothers, J.A. Campbell, Jerry Campbell and Bob Campbell all of Sandtown and Gary Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Shirley Earnestine Hoover of Batesville; two grandsons, Jonathan Lesley of Batesville and Micah Lesley of Mayfield, Kentucky; five step grandchildren, Tim Carter of Sandtown, Lori Laman of Cave City, Tracy Carter of Sandtown, Brandy Carter of Cave City and Brian Carter of Cave City; five step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday February 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders and Bro. Hoover Lewis officiating.
