Rosemary E. Floyd

Rosemary Floyd age 65 of Batesville died Sunday February 10, 2013 at a Batesville hospital. She was born November 19, 1947 at Heber Springs, Arkansas to Frank and Clydie Luella Stevens Smith. She had worked many years in banking, having worked at First National Bank and Independence Federal Savings and Loan both in Batesville. She had also worked for General Oil in Batesville. She was of the Southern Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl G. Floyd; one brother, Ken Smith and two sisters, Ilene Glenn and Betty Smith. Survivors include one son, Jerrod Floyd of Batesville; one daughter, Lisa Elmore and husband Keith of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Floe McDougal, Imogene McDougal and Frankie Smith all of Pleasant Plains; one grandson, Austin Elmore of Memphis, TN; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will begin Thursday February 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Cemetery located on Hwy. 157 in the Roosevelt community near Pleasant Plains with Bro. Eddie Dale Meharg officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. No visitation is planned. Honorary pallbearers are Steve McDougal, Joe McDougal, Austin Elmore and Keith Elmore.
