Cora Lou Davis age 76 of Evening Shade died Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born September 27, 1936 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Adie M. and Carrie Emeline Whitten Barnett. She was retired owner and operator of the Evening Shade Café, Family Fashion House and Davis Melon Market all in Evening Shade. She was a member of the Evening Shade United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J Paul Davis and one sister, Roxie Barnett Moss. Survivors include two sons, Ricky Davis and wife Cindy of Heber Springs and Harlan Davis and wife Rita of Highland; two daughters, Pam Buie and husband Jerry of Batesville and Laurie Weaver and husband Jeremy of Cave City; one sister, Thelma Jackson and husband R.W. of Lubbock, Texas; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Sunday February 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evening Shade United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Morris and Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Saturday February 23, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Scott Davis, Cody Davis, Brandon Davis, Cannon Davis, Cade Weaver, Noah Weaver, Elias Weaver and Kenny Christy. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Seth Barnes and Laddie Sharp. Memorials may be made to the Evening Shade United Methodist Church.
