Billy Gene Goforth age 81 of Batesville died Thursday March 28, 2013 at his home. He was born September 28, 1931 at Batesville, Arkansas to Elver and Maggie Roberts Goforth. He married Wilma Elnora Barnett on June 3, 1950. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. After serving our country, he was employed by Graves Truck Line in Wichita, Kansas, from which he retired and moved back to Batesville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lanty Goforth and Jim Goforth. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Goforth of the home; a son, Dwayne Goforth and wife Brenda of Batesville; a daughter, Teresa Casey and husband Mark of Batesville; a brother, Zeb Goforth of Batesville; five grandchildren, four great grandsons; a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday April 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Foothills Cowboy Church located north of Batesville with Rev. Richard Hawkins Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Sunday March 31, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City. Pallbearers will be Lantz Goforth, Brandon Goforth, Keith Goforth, Trice High, Ron Palmer and Gary Tate. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Andy Davidson, Dennis Howard, Larry Barnett, Bob Huff, T.L. Goforth and Robert Goforth.
