Maxine Wilkerson

Maxine Wilkerson age 90 of Cave City died Tuesday April 9, 2013 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born July 19, 1922 at Cave City, Arkansas to W.E. and Servetus Wright Carpenter. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Cave City Elementary and Poughkeepsie Headstart. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church at Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Wilkerson; one sister Willene Kendall; two grandsons, Ian O ‘Brien and Ethan Spence and one nephew, Mike Kendall. Survivors include her husband, Allen Wilkerson; one son, David Wilkerson of Cave City; one daughter, Vivian O’Brien of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Jennifer Dickey of Cord, Shawn Wilkerson of Batesville and Erin Robelia of Spring, Texas; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Marlin Dollar officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be begin Friday April 12, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Randy Hooper, Cody Dickey, Dylan Wilkerson, Warren Dickey, Shawn Wilkerson and Mike Sharp. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Walton and the Wood Lawn Nursing Home Staff.
