Charles Owen “Tony” Ward age 78 of Batesville died Tuesday May 14, 2013 at his home. He was born May 31, 1934 at Strawberry, Arkansas to Owen Edward and Juddie Bennett Ward. He was a retired car salesman. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronnie Owen Ward; one brother, Ed Ward and one sister, Delores Lepper. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ward of the home; two sons, Dennis Ward of Cabot and Phillip Ward of Clinton; one daughter, Cathy Ward of Edmond, Oklahoma; a stepson, Doug Carnett of Batesville; two brothers, Jerry Ward of Strawberry and Billy Ward of Bald Knob; three sisters, Geraldine Poskey of Strawberry, Clella Bellefeuille of California and Marilyn Adcock of Augusta , Georgia; four grandchildren, Shana Hopper of Mountain Home, Mitch Ward of Cabot, Brad Ward of Jacksonville and Scott Perkey of Cave City; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Friday May 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Jim Conyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Milligan Campground Cemetery located near Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Thursday May 16, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mitch Ward, Kolby Carnett, Scott Perkey, William Runyan, Doug Carnett and Gary Poskey. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Ward, Kenny Ward and Paul Runyan.
