Lorell Ford age 89 of Batesville died Wednesday May 15, 2013 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born May 23, 1923 at Cave City, Arkansas to Luther Wesley and Alice Pearl Jones Provence. She was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and also worked several years at International Shoe Factory in Batesville. She was a member of Eastern Star in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Noble Johnson and Barnett Ford; three brothers, Burl Provence, Wesley Provence and Burnice Provence; two sisters, Lorene Bell and Rozella Hensley and three nephews, Samuel Provence, Joe Provence and Paul W. Provence. Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Stephens of Little Rock; two brothers, Roy Provence of Batesville and L.W. Provence of Keithville, Louisiana; one sister, Nia McNish of Kingman, Arizona; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Sunday May 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with her nephew Bro. Ron Provence officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Pallbearers are Dennis Stephens, Don Provence, Keith Provence, Doyle Wade, Chris Provence and Allen Rowell. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Rodgers and Dallas Rolins.
