Mary Jane Ford age 97 of Batesville died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born March 28, 1916 at Cave City, Arkansas to Theodore Corinth Ford Sr. and Minnie Sarah Jane Harrell Ford. She was a public school teacher having taught many years in Carlyle, Illinois. She retired from teaching after 42 years of service. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Cave City, Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher Honor Society and the First United Methodist Church in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, W. Harrell Ford, Hiram Ford and Ted Ford; two nephews, Dr. W.H. “Bill” Ford and Harrell Thomas Ford and two nieces, Carolyn Dickerson and Sarah Bilberry. Survivors include two nieces, Patsy Ford Nelson and Anne Ford Rosier both of Cave City; several great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Thursday June 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Batesville with Rev. Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday June 20, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Neal Rosier, Travis Ford, Canton Ford, John Ford, Julian Ford and Robert Ford. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Nelson and Jonathan Rosier. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 615 E. Main, Batesville, AR 72501
