Vera Elaine Minter age 84 of Cave City, Arkansas died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Cave City. She was born October 27, 1928 at Patterson, Missouri to Eli Hunter and Lillian Redford Hunter. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastside Southern Baptist Church at Cave City. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Joe Minter of the home; three sons, Kenneth Guard of Richland, Texas, Scott Minter of Torrington, Wyoming and Dennis Minter of Hillsboro, Oregon; two daughters, Leila Higginbottom of Cave City, Arkansas and Belinda Day of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two brothers, Calvin Hunter of St. Louis, Missouri and Paul Hunter of Nevada, Iowa; two sisters, Loraine Acre of Desota, Missouri and Floy Creek of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Saturday June 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Walker and Dr. B. Michael Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Saturday June 29, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Cave City. Pallbearers will be Seth Higginbottom, Evan Higginbottom, Zack Baxter, John Brown, Steve Brown, Aaron Presser and Nathan Higginbottom. Honorary pallbearers are all nursing, personal care and hospice staff who attended to the needs of our loved one during her stay at the Cave City Nursing Home.
