Billy McLeod age 72 of Batesville died Friday June 28, 2013 at his home. He was born July 1, 1940 at Cave City, Arkansas to Homer Alda and Eunar Lucille Hill McLeod. He was retired from the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a self-employed business owner and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Geral McLeod, Thomas McLeod, James McLeod, Olen Ray McLeod, Calvin McLeod and Paul Dean McLeod and two sisters, Alice McLeod and Walsie Mahan. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary McLeod of the home; two sons, Martin Mcleod and wife Deborah of Chandler, Arizona and Michael McLeod and wife Michelle of Batesville; one daughter, Sarah Wright and husband John of Jackson, Missouri; one sister, June Duvall of Cave City; five granddaughters, Cortney McLeod, Delanie McLeod, Kelsie McLeod, Rachel Wright and Mary Beth Wright; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Monday July 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Sammy Manuel, John Wright and Martin McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Sunday June 30, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Burns, Jerry Baker, Vincent Provenzano, Harry Curtis, James Boothby and Jeral Hastings. Memorials may be made to Reed’s Creek Fairview Cemetery Fund at the Bank of Cave City and Caring Hands Hospice.
