Eunice "Brownie" Brewer

Eunice “Brownie” Brewer age 95 of Sidney died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at a Batesville hospital. She was born November 12, 1917 at Sidney, Arkansas to Stephen and Josie Stroud Cole. She was a homemaker, a retired school teacher, having taught 42 years primarily at Evening Shade, a member of the E.H. Club at Sidney and the Sidney Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.J. Brewer; one brother, E.H. Cole and two sisters, Tressie Westmoreland and Iola Hall. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Whitmire and husband Ronald of Strawberry; three granddaughters, Becky Saffell and husband Ronald of Saffell, Angie Adams and husband Wendell of Batesville and Ashley Holder and husband Shane of Strawberry; nine great grandchildren, Haley Bell, Whitney Bell, Sarah Saffell, Ty Holder, Cassidy Holder, Bobbye Adams, Maggye Adams, Blakelye Adams and Stetson Holder; one great great granddaughter, Areanna Jones; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Tuesday July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sidney Cumberland Presbyterian Church located in Sidney with Rev. Alan Meinzer officiating and Mitch Bell assisting. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery located at Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Monday July 22, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Shane Holder, Ronald Saffell, Wendell Adams, Craig Whitmire, Scott Whitmire and Ty Holder. Honorary pallbearers are Alex Moody, Tim Battles, Tim Bradley, Justin Davis, Michael Davis, Kirk Ratliff, Jeremy Ratliff, Joe Arnn, Max Cole, Scott Brewer, Wayne Fore and Dr. J.D. Allen.
