Anna Marie Stroup age 91 of Horseshoe Bend (formerly of Batesville) died Friday August 9, 2013 at a Salem hospital. She was born December 27, 1921 at Lawrence, Massachusetts to Joseph and Marie Dubois Houde. She was retired from International Shoe Factory in Batesville and was a member of Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Stroup; several brothers and sisters; one grandson, James Joseph Lankford and one great grandson, Henry Charles Lankford III. Survivors include one daughter, Rose Mary Lankford of Evening Shade; one brother, Anthony Houde of Marietta, Georgia; two grandsons, Henry Lankford Jr. of Concord and Billy Jack Lankford of Evening Shade; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Tuesday August 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Henry Lankford Jr., Billy Jack Lankford, Brandon Lankford, Haley Lankford Bethel, Michelle Lankford and Will Lankford. Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Reed, Frankie Sharp, Jerry O’Brien, Brian Goff, Mark Goff, Dr. David Kauffman, Dr. Jimmy Bozeman and the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
