Donald Ray Allen

Donald Ray Allen age 49 of Pleasant Plains died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at a Searcy hospital. He was born June 28, 1964 at Augusta, Arkansas to Troy and Marjorie Burk Allen. He married Roberta Adams on January 9, 1982. He was a truck driver for Pilgrim’s Pride in Batesville, enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church at Floral. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents and a daughter, LaDonna Marie Allen. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Roberta Allen of the home; one son Donnie Ray Allen and wife Tosha of Batesville; three daughters, Brandy Marshall and husband Dean of Pleasant Plains, Ashley Webster and husband Billy of Batesville and Sara Galloway and husband Bubba of Pleasant Plains; his mother, Marjorie Allen of Pleasant Plains; three brothers, Robert Allen of Floral, Jerry Allen and Terry Allen both of Pleasant Plains; one sister, Barbara Barnhouse of Pleasant Plains; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will begin Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Putman Cemetery located at Pleasant Plains with Bro. Randy Altom officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville. Pallbearers will be Dean Marshall, Billy Webster, Donnie Allen, Jr., Jerome Galloway, Jerry Allen, Terry Allen and Robert Allen. Honorary pallbearers are K.D. Smith, Troy Glen, Nathan Manley, Greg Ambris, Steven Betz, Terry Manard, Kevin Randal, Jack Shands, Andy Roberson, Andrew Marshall and Richie Webster.
