Charles W. McClusky age 82 of Southside died Saturday August 17, 2013 at a Little Rock hospital. He was born August 26, 1930 at Egypt, Arkansas to John Larkin and Veda Lorene Grady McClusky. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Southside. He was preceded in death by his parents and five nephews, Ronny Chism, Chris Henderson,Barry Henderson, Fisher Young and Patrick Price. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Young McClusky of the home; one daughter, Vicki Chism of Southside; one brother, Gerald McClusky of Newport; two sisters, Jewell Henderson and Carolyn Reynolds both of Floral; one granddaughter, Kirby Chism Townsley of Southside; two precious great-granddaughters, Charlie Donna and Kylee Townsley both of Southside; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church located at Southside with Bro. Bob Dailey, Bro. Charles Crowson and Bro. Kenneth Altom officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday August 19, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service in Batesville. Pallbearers will be J.T. Young, Colton Young, Kirby Chism, Brent Henderson, Steve Henderson and David McClusky. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Simmons, Robert Bristow, Gary Miser, Stacy Miser and all Members of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Food Pantry, 149 Rorie St., Batesville, AR 72501
