Charles William Woody

Charles William Woody age 78 of Southside left this life to be with the Lord on Thursday August 22, 2013. He was born in Calico Rock, Arkansas on September 14, 1934 to Thurman Otho and Pearl Lillian Benbrook Woody. He lived most of his life in Indianapolis, Indiana where he worked as a machinist, and was owner/operator of a pizza business for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Harold Woody; a sister Opal Scott; and step-mother, Ida Woody. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Bonnie Woody of the home; one daughter, Brenda Minor of Batesville; one granddaughter, Misty Cope of Indianapolis, Indiana; two great-grandsons, Will Cope and Adam Cope both of Indianapolis, Indiana; one step-brother, Charles Hon of Batesville; two step-sisters, Carolyn Crafton of Batesville and Francis Swafford of Conway; three step-daughters, Angie Pickett of Highland, Beverly Frazier of Cherokee Village and Tammy Reese of Black Rock; six step-grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Campground Cemetery located at Bethesda with Todd Milburn officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. A visitation will be held Friday August 23, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service in Batesville. Honorary pallbearers are John Hammond, Ken Minor, Jimmy Frazier, Phillip Pickett, Billy Gray and Winfred Harmon.
