Thomas Jewell Qualls age 75 of Evening Shade died Monday September 2, 2013 at his home. He was born August 10, 1938 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Jewell Cleo and Opal Oretha Ring Qualls. He was retired from ConAgra Foods in Batesville with 43 years of service. He enjoyed farming and being around people. He was a Mason for many years and a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ at Evening Shade. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth Faith Kackley Qualls; one sister, Barbara Ann Qualls and two grandchildren, Maranda Estes Verser and Joseph Thomas. Survivors include one son; Jeff Qualls of Evening Shade; five daughters, Lynn Muston, Barbara Whitten, Dianne Moore and Becky Long all of Evening Shade and Jimmi Rush of Batesville; his step-mother, Virginia Qualls of Mammoth Spring; three brothers, J.W. Qualls of Batesville, Tony Qualls and Stanley Qualls both of Mammoth Spring; three sisters, Anna Joyce Webb of Clinton, Sandra Linderman of Hardy and Ann Wood of Mammoth Spring; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evening Shade School Gymnasium with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Qualls Family Cemetery located at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City. Pallbearers will be Wayne Muston, Tommy Muston, Michael Thomas, Robbie Thomas, Aaron Estes, Abram Qualls, Asher Qualls, Ayden Qualls, Timmy Rush and Jason Long.
