Robert D. Hutchins

Robert D. Hutchins age 50 of Rosie died Friday September 6, 2013 at his home. He was born December 8, 1962 at Newport, Arkansas to Bobby and Ima Jean Preston Hutchins. He had worked for Arkansas Steel in Newport for many years and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hulen and Hazel Hutchins and Dexter and Norma Preston. Survivors include his wife, Christie Huskey Hutchins of the home; three sons, Elliot Hutchins and Eric Hutchins both of Prattsville and Christopher Hutchins of Rosie; three daughters, Samantha Huskey of Strawberry, Jacqulyn Riggs and Brittany Hutchins both of Rosie; one brother, Randy Hutchins of Batesville; three sisters, Rhonda Beard of Batesville, Lisa Barnett of Bethesda and Teresa Cummings of Prattsville; four grandchildren, Lynzi Hutchins, Lyzabeth Hutchins and Avery Hutchins all of Prattsville and Myka Huskey of Strawberry; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Thursday September 12, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday September 11, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City. Pallbearers will be Heath Preston, Todd Hutchins, Jeff Hutchins, Bobby Vaughn, Roger Randolph and Kenny Burns. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Crabb and Martin McLeod.
